The television in the room was unreliable and required frequent resets, quite frustrating. The plumbing noises were bothersome, disrupting my relaxation several times each day. Although the room was spacious, it felt quite dated in terms of decor and amenities.

Hotel is big.
Their rooms are always spotless and newly remodelled with comfy beds and modern decor plus a huge bathroom. The location is good, 1 km from Museum of New Zealand te Papa Tongarewa. It's close to restaurants and pubs too.

I stayed at Apollo Lodge Motel for four nights and found it suitable for my needs. The room was spacious, and the bathroom and kitchen met all expectations. The access to the East side of town was convenient, allowing easy trips to Courtney Place and the Countdown supermarket. The heater was beneficial in November.
The plumbing was noisy.

The location was excellent, easy wwalking distance from the restaurant area of Courtenay Place and not far from Cuba St. Also, it was a very easy drive to the Interislander Ferry. Te Papa museum was about a 10 minute walk away and a large supermarket was also an easy walking distance. The cooking facilities were good and there was plenty of room for parking (though there weren't may people there at the time).

The room was clean, spacious, and warm with minimal noise at night. It was a great bonus having free parking right outside our door, and we loved the cozy atmosphere of the room.
Shower pressure was low.

We found Apollo Lodge Motel an excellent place to stay as we drove from Napier but did not want to drive in Wellington city. The motel provided on site car parking where we were able to leave our car for the two days and walk to all of the attractions that we were visiting. The motel was very clean, comfortable and extremely quiet for so close to the central city.
We had no complaints. Everything that we needed was provided.
